Once you register to a Live Training Session, you will be sent all the information you need by email to enter the virtual classroom. That information includes the meeting ID, your attendee ID, a toll phone number you can call to hear the instructor, an internet link (URL) to the Live Training Session and your password.
- Do I need to download any software?
You will be prompted to download a web browser extension from WebEx.com to help you securely attend your live training session. It takes about 30 seconds to download and install.
- Do I need to buy new hardware?
No. To attend a live training session all you need is have your computer plugged in a reliable internet connection (DSL or higher). We offer free VoIP access to your live training session. You can just connect headset to your computer to hear the presentation and speak to your instructor.
We will walk you through the setup process which takes less than one minute.
- What are the minimum computer system requirements?
To get the best learning experience Live Training Session, we recommend:
- a broadband internet connection: DSL or faster
- a web browser: Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 2+, Safari 2.0, Opera 8.0, Netscape 8.0 or Google Chrome
- a computer audio headset equipped with microphone
- Do you hand out training support materials?
No we do not feel the need to hand out hard copies of the training materials. The live training session you attend to will be recorded and posted online as soon as the session ends. You can then log into the members section of this website to playback the training session to relive the experience and watch additional videos online to get more tips and tricks.
- Is my computer safe during the training session?
Yes. You will be connected to a very secure private network owned and protected by CISCO Systems, a leader in computer networking and web communications.
No other attendee will be able to access your computer. Only the instructor will be able to access documents computer IF you grant him/her that permission.
- Is it safe to share my computer screen during the tutoring session?
Yes. If you wish to share your desktop or an application so that the instructor can "look over your shoulders" then all the attendees will be able to see your desktop or the application you choose to share. Nobody will be able to access your computer.
- What measures should I take to protect my privacy?
To protect your privacy we recommend your keep your computer desktop clean by temporarily moving all the programs and shortcuts to a single folder in your desktop to keep everything hidden from prying eyes. Make sure your desktop does not contain any information you do not wish to share with all other attendees including the instructor. Only open computer applications you wish to share during the live training session.
- Can anyone see my desktop wallpaper?
If you opt to "Share Your Desktop" during the Live Training Session, then all attendees will see all icons and shortcuts on your computer desktop. You can temporarily move any private items you do not wish anyone else to see from your desktop to another folder.
- How to I get the Instructor's attention?
You can "raise your hand" during the presentation if you wish to ask as question to the instructor. The instructor will decide to pass you the microphone or change your status to presenter so you can share the view of your desktop.
